Product and Marketing Manager

Product and Marketing Manager.

The Product and Marketing Manager will manage the Product and Marketing Management Team. The product scope is for all products and multiple species including in the cattle, swine and poultry industries. The Product and Marketing Manager will manage to ensure accurate forecasts, efficient production scheduling, keeping inventories from becoming long or short and assisting in acquisitions and new product development. The Product and Marketing Manager will manage product pricing and rebates to keep margins on target. The incumbent will manage the Customer Service Department and manage the Product and Marketing Management Department. The Product and Marketing Manager will manage and coordinate forecasts and production for all products and species. The incumbent will develop objectives, strategies and tactics and implement in the market plan developed on an annual basis. The incumbent will manage creation and implementation of all marketing materials, activities and events. The incumbent will develop communication and promotional programs to maximize results of sales. The incumbent will analyze results of promotional programs and assist in regulatory affairs and coordinate new projects. The incumbent will meet with suppliers and brokers to negotiate needs and pricing/identify and set up new API suppliers. The incumbent will manage and create a sales budget and provide valuable insight into pricing, programs and effective promotion and set product pricing and rebates accordingly. Other responsibilities include creating the executive monthly sales report, participating in major meetings and trade shows, developing selling and marketing activities for these major events and assisting the President with assigned projects.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (agriculture, marketing, business, etc), Master’s Degree in a related field, 2-3+ years of experience, and experience working in a similar role in the Animal Health Industry, preferably in Swine, Cattle and Poultry. Other qualifications include the ability to manage people and give concise direction, forecasting, inventory management, marketing, strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office product line. The position requires 25% overnight travel.
