The incumbent will generate sales by calling on existing customers, new sales leads and will provide ongoing customer education and support for the organization’s OTC products in the US through all distribution channels. The incumbent will generate new business and business leads in the OTC area as well as create demand for the product portfolio in conjunction with distribution partners.
The OTC Account Manager will develop annual budget plans, and business analysis for assigned portfolio including marketing program evaluations, market research and competitive intelligence. The incumbent will monitor and analyze trends in the market, competition and product performance. The incumbent will support sales and profit through existing and new distribution partners. The OTC Manager will initiate and complete new business proposals, presentations, contracts and other agreements related to the OTC area.
The OTC Manager will interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the Sales, Marketing Manager, Customer Service and Technical Services to ensure the effective implementation of marketing plans/tactics to achieve the budgeted sales and margin goals. The OTC Manager will interact with R&D, Production Planning and Finance. In addition the Manager will arrange trade shows and association relations and national and regional sponsorships.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, marketing, business, science or a related area, Animal Health sales experience, experience working with distribution and equine experience is required. The successful candidate will be expected to travel 75% of the time.
