National Sales Manager

National Sales Manager (preferred location: Dallas, Chicago, Florida or East or West Coast)

The National Sales Manager will lead a small team of sales representatives nationally in the US. This would be a good opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to move into a National Sales Manager role. The sales team calls on both general veterinary practices and specialty veterinary practices. This is a heavy travel position with up to 80% overnight travel.

The company works through distribution but has some accounts where they sell direct.

The National Sales Manager will work with and mentor Territory Managers and will ensure the team has a clear focus on objectives. The National Sales Manager will handle Key Account Management and will be a liaison for distributors and key accounts. The National Sales Manager will communicate feedback from the field to Product Managers so they can adjust marketing campaigns as needed.

This small company has a great product reputation in the veterinary space and is looking for someone who thinks like an entrepreneur to develop creative strategies.

Qualifications include strong life sciences background with technical skills.  Animal Health experience highly preferred. Other qualifications include a thorough understanding of the sales process including asking for the sale. Strong people and leadership skills, being able to think out of the box and work within a limited financial budget. Excellent communication skills, analytical and number skills. We are looking for someone who is resourceful who can work to problem solve and think outside the box. Ability to travel up to 80% is required.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
