National Account Sales Manager Veterinary

The National Account Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales. This customer facing role is responsible for sales growth with key strategic veterinary pharmaceutical companies and veterinary distribution companies.  The incumbent will develop and execute plans to meet the business goals leading to company growth and profitability.  The incumbent will work within sales, marketing and research and development teams to support the company activities leading to revenue growth, product development and achievement of company goals. The incumbent will broaden the customer base and increase sales while strengthening customer relationships.

The incumbent will influence relationships at the highest levels of organizations, and will serve as a key point of contact for all sales activities within the defined customer base. The incumbent will identify and grow sales in the veterinary segment, develop and execute a strategic business plan, conduct quarterly and annual business reviews with customers and coordinate training and sales support with customers. The incumbent will provide competitive intelligence, attend tradeshows, and assist with new product development. The incumbent will manage expenses and comply with an assigned budget.

Qualifications include multiple years of animal health industry experience, accomplished sales professional with an excellent reputation in the veterinary business, strong knowledge of and have relationships with veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturers, proven track record and performance in the sales of companion animal products, broad understanding of inner workings of the Animal Health industry, proven relationships with veterinary distribution companies, proven relationships with pet food companies (preferred), 4 year degree, preferably in business or agriculture, basic understanding of animal health products, knowledge of the private label process, self-directed and self-starter.
