Head of Sales and Key Accounts US

Head of Sales and Key Accounts US.  Due to company expansion of access to animal medicine and wellness products a new business unit has been established and we need to recruit a Head of Sales/Head of Key Accounts for the US.

The successful candidate will coach, develop and access performance of Key Account Managers within the team to achieve maximum individual and team performance. The Director will address performance issues rapidly and will achieve sales objectives by account and brand. The Director will lead the development of Key Account strategies in line with business and brand strategy. The Director will develop strong relationships with key retail partners, manage sales operational expenses, own and understand product sales and spend by account and monitor trends and report monthly. The director will drive market intelligence initiatives and monitor competitor’s activities and promote the image of the company. The Director will identify and recruit high quality candidates to continue to grow the team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in sales management and people leadership, legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Preferred qualifications include post graduate degree, sound understanding of OTC retail environments, sales experience in a multi-channel consumer goods environment, knowledge of the pet care marketplace and retailers, proven experience managing and mentoring talent, capability to influence both internal and external stakeholders, proficiency with Windows software suites, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong leadership, resilience, takes initiative, managing for results, coaching for high performance, relationship building skills, ability to network and influence, ability to analyze and interpret sales data, negotiation and planning skills, willingness to learn, courage to drive for results.
