Global Business Unit Lead – (Sr. Director or VP level role)
The Global Lead will support the organization’s mission and is responsible for all activities (research, development, sales, marketing and technical operations) related to the success across the globe to maximize the financial and strategic value of the business unit. The incumbent will show advanced strategic insights about the business and will demonstrate the ability to collaborate and influence commercial leaders, supporting global functions and R&D. The incumbent will be the visible face of the organization to senior executives and will create trust-based relationships and position the organization as a leader in the industry.
The incumbent will build the operating plan and meet financial targets, will build influence with internal and external customers to maximize business success. The incumbent will provide leadership and support the selection, development and implementation of new products and service lines, will drive new product development, provide leadership, direction and management for the Business Unit and will lead in providing support to company leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations, partnership arrangements and total acquisitions. The incumbent will develop and ensure all communications are coordinated and support the strategic direction of the organization and will provide support to the company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations, partnership arrangements and acquisitions.
Qualifications include college degree in Animal Science or related discipline. Master’s is preferred. 15+ years of experience in the Animal Health Industry with a track record of success along with broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, research and product development and the ability to navigate multinational companies and global cultural differences.
