Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing

Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing.   We are looking for a Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing to lead marketing efforts for a network of close to 60 veterinary hospitals and 400 veterinarian doctors. The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing is the Head of the new marketing business unit dedicated to research, develop and implement marketing strategies aimed at improving the B2B and B2C businesses of veterinary hospitals and veterinarians.

The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing will seek actionable marketing insights, which lead to development of strategies, tactics, metrics and the full scope of communications plans which grow veterinary hospitals and revenues and influence within the local market and critical customer groups. The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing will strengthen the brand through strategies that use core initiatives, tactics and tools that apply to the businesses. The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing will identify and actively communicate best business practices. The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing will advise on sustainable local B2B marketing, communication and education initiatives targeted at referring veterinarians. The Director of Veterinary Specialty Marketing will develop KPIs and reporting solutions.

Qualifications include a BA degree in marketing, veterinary science or other related discipline, 7+ years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing, advertising and communications in a field related to veterinary, dental or human medicine, exceptional leadership and strong interpersonal skills, experience leading multi-site teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong technical background with advanced computer skills, experience with digital and social marketing, aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ability to distinguish and behave with a good sense of decorum; acting as a brand ambassador, data, analytics and metrics oriented, ability to work as a member of a team and independently. Animal Health experience (with pets) is a definite plus.

There is a 40% travel requirement with this position. The successful candidate must be willing and able to meet this travel requirement.
