Director of Regulatory Affairs

The Director of Regulatory Affairs will develop the global strategy and implementation and manage the efforts of regulatory staff globally. The role is accountable for supporting the achievement of short and long term goals of the business via product registration and providing regulatory guidance on projects as well as usual business activities.  The incumbent will lead the global regulatory affairs strategy and will provide regulatory affairs support when needed while working with the global business teams to bring new products to market worldwide and support global sales. This role is accountable and responsible for preparing product registration dossiers and interacting with other regulatory staff globally and will provide guidance regarding regulatory compliance and product registrations.

Qualifications include 3-5 years of management experience, bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology,  Animal Science or equivalent, 5+ years of industry experience in Animal Health, knowledge of global regulatory requirements and the role of regulatory affairs as it enables the business to meet corporate goals and objectives. The incumbent will need to be able to develop long term regulatory/registration strategies, tactics, goals and plans and  be able to understand value propositions for products, brands and solutions and contribute recommendations to optimize them to meet  business objectives while complying with regulatory requirements. This individual will need to have problem solving skills and be able to develop people in their roles and manage relationships with consultants, government officials and other third parties for optimum results.  Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently are needed along with cultural awareness across global business unit segments.
