Qualifications for the Role
A successful candidate will have experience in hotel/resort operations as well as a proven background in managing and troubleshooting software applications used for financial and guest activity transactions. We will consider applicants without experience in resort operations as well.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
- Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by company policy and in line with generally accepted accounting practices.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and investigate unusual variances.
- Maintain commitment ledger and assures critical dates do not pass without necessary action.
- Monthly, quarterly, and yearly account reconciliations for all Balance sheets and Profit and Loss accounts.
- Budget preparation and monthly reporting for Budget to actual Results.
- Interacts with department heads to make sure all orders were received. Ensures account coding is accurate and all invoices are entered into accounting software in a timely manner.
- Handles all vendor inquiries and reconciles monthly vendor statements.
- Maintains accounting records for the resort in an organized manner.
- Work closely with management to verify accounting standard operating procedures are followed in the respective department.
To Be Considered You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 7-10 years of related experience
- 3 years of experience in a Resort/Hotel environment is required.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- QuickBooks or other similar account software
- Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills
- Payroll experience
- IT experience preferred.
