The Capital Equipment Specialist details and sells Capital Equipment programs and services, works with sales management and territory management to train and drive Equipment Sales at the field level. The incumbent will bring unique solutions to the practice through revenue generation via Capital Equipment Solutions and will travel to veterinary practices while riding with territory managers. The incumbent will develop seminars and workshops which will promote the equipment sales to veterinary practices and will assist in developing marketing programs based on market share data, customer purchases and industry best practices.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in business or Health related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, 2+ years of experience selling capital equipment, 5+ years of successful business-to-business sales experience, preferably in animal health, demonstrated competency in developing educational programs for capital equipment and conducting capital equipment seminars. Prior experience in the animal health industry is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to learn various capital equipment systems, have highly effective written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated presentation skills, strong project management and organization skills, demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate and close sales and ability to travel 75% of the time.
