Business Development Manager – New Orleans

Business Development Manager New Orleans, LA.  The Business Development Manager New Orleans will report to the Area Sales Director and is responsible for building key customer relationships with new and existing clients. The Business Development Manager will work with staff from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue. This role will manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business and will cold-call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth.

In this role, the Business Development Manager will build key customer relationships with new and existing clients, provide support to the Integration Team during the on-boarding of new acquisitions, work with staff from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue, manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business, cold-call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth, conduct research to identify potential clients, identify business opportunities, generate warm leads and seek out partnerships, negotiate and close business deals, develop a rapport with new clients, present new products and services and enhance existing relationships, handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits and working through differences to a positive conclusion, predict clients’ future needs and devise strategies and action plans to meet those needs, set sales targets and provide sales support, liaise with senior management in order to determined organizational strategy and initiatives, stay up-to-date on the company’s current product and service offerings, work with technical staff and colleagues to meet customer needs, attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends, consult with and present to senior management on business trends in order to develop new services, products and distribution channels, identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to increase sales, use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators, ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system, maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, track and record activity on accounts and help to close dals and meet targets.

Qualifications include: 3+ years of sales experience in a related industry, postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics or a related field, proven understanding of the industry and area of service, excellent organizational, strategic planning and implementation skills, high level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability, ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor, a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills. Ability to travel as required. We are looking for someone with a track record and ability to close deals and meet targets.
