Business Development Manager – remote

Business Development Manager.   Our client’s business is focused on acquiring assets with a focus on veterinary and companion animal businesses located in the US and Canada. The Business Development Manager will leverage the organization’s database and existing industry relationships to target businesses that fit within the acquisition criteria. The incumbent will develop relationships with potential new acquisitions through outbound calling, email, direct mail and meetings and other events. The incumbent will staff and lead marketing events to tell the organization’s story to potential acquisitions. The Business Development Manager will track the development process in Salesforce and will report to management executives on progress and roadblocks.

Qualifications include a demonstrated track record in business development or related experience with in the animal health industry. Required experience includes 3+ years of experience in sales, business development and related experience in the animal health sector, experience as an inside sales representative with excellent ability to build relationships over the phone. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. Outbound call center experience is a plus. Undergraduate degree is required. We seek someone who is outgoing, a self-starter who needs little direction, is highly self-motivated, accountable and a team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to communicate with people who have both sophisticated and unsophisticated financial acumen. Other characteristics we require are organized and detail oriented.
