Brand Manager – Direct Response. The Brand Manager – Direct Response is responsible for marketing campaigns designed to generate member engagement, increase member satisfaction, generate revenue, and encourage attendance/utilization for programs and services. This highly visible and critical role involves a blend of tactical and strategic activities. The incumbent will identify innovative ways to communicate benefits and value to targeted audiences, helping the organization grow its brand and increase member engagement; and will utilize all channels in the marketing mix to meet marketing program goals.
The Brand Manager – Direct Response works collaborative with marketing and communications leadership to develop and implement marketing plans and related budgets for specific campaigns. The Brand Manager – Direct Response will utilize market research information and segmentation strategy in development of campaign tactics, target audience and messaging. The Brand Manager – Direct Response manages the implementation and results tracking for marketing campaigns across all channels and reports metrics back to the appropriate leadership. The Brand Manager – Direct Response develops creative briefs and conducts kick-off meetings to ensure a common understanding of deliverables and expectations and works collaborative with marketing and communication colleagues to develop timelines for projects within each campaign.
The Brand Manager builds and maintains relationships with other cross-functional partners throughout the organization to ensure marketing is collaborating effectively. The Brand Manager utilizes editorial calendar to maximize opportunities and employ the full marketing mix for assigned campaigns, including market research, public relations, social media and content development. The Brand Manager maintains consistency and ensures accuracy of messaging across all communication channels for assigned campaigns and creates copy and messaging as needed. The Brand Manager serves as team specialists for email marketing, leads the marketing and communications team approach to email marketing and collaborates on the implementation with Digital Services and Solutions, helping the organization grow in its email marketing sophistication. The Brand Manager ensures that strategic priorities are appropriately distributed and represented throughout the email campaign calendar.
Qualifications include a minimum of 4 years of professional marketing experience. Healthcare and/or association experience is a plus. The successful candidate will have demonstrated email marketing skills and experience and will be skilled at effectively managing multiple projects in a creative-cross-functional team environment. The successful candidate will be results driven and have multi-channel marketing experience. Other qualifications include strong writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages for a variety of audiences, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus, proficiency at Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with basecamp is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to travel on behalf of the organization and will need to be able to work outside of normal business hours as required. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or a related field is required.
