Area Sales Director – Central Region

Area Sales Director Central Region.  The Area Sales Director Central Region will work to support the company’s efforts to achieve revenue and operational goals. In this role, the incumbent will work with the VP of Sales, Marketing and Veterinary Affairs and others to support the company’s mission.

As an Area Sales Director, the incumbent will build relationships with veterinary customers and will have responsibility for sales related activities in the assigned territory. In this role, the Area Sales Director will engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions and educational literature. The Area Sales Director will apply sales and closing skills to acquire new customers and build relationships with existing customers. The Area Sales Director will build customer loyalty by enabling customers to leverage products and services. The Area Sales Director will establish themselves as a valued partner. This is a customer facing role.

The Area Sales Director will achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth goals by acquiring new accounts and leveraging existing accounts. The Area Sales Director will educate and train sales and veterinary clinic staff about products, services and marketing initiatives, including how to engage pet owners when appropriate. The Area Sales Director will maintain accurate forecast, work with executive management to develop goals and compensation system that is aligned with the business objectives and lead, coach and motivate a team of sales professionals to maximize sales effectiveness, region potential, and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent will build a sales team culture that fosters innovation, cooperation, best practices, team and individual commitment to excellent and meeting customer needs and will help develop and support sales processes to improve productivity and ensure that goals are met.

The incumbent will work with customer and product marketing and other functions to support advancements in strategic direction, product positioning, promotional initiatives and sales force automation tools.

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree, several years of experience in sales management and in sales, proven track record of a successful sales record, demonstrates strong organizational skills, demonstrates solid motivational and leadership skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, exhibits awareness of best sales practices, works well within a team, is capable of conducting independent research, maintains a professional and confident demeanor, a clear and effective communicator.
