Our company is seeking a Veterinary Business Development Field Leader. The candidate is ideally someone in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Georgia. This job has frequent travel – upwards of 75%.
The Business Development Field Leader (Manager, Director, or Vice President) plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our company through identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with potential partner practices.

Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with veterinary hospital owners and key decision-makers. Understand their needs, concerns, and goals to effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with us.
- Market Research: Collaborate with the team to conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, collaborating on digital marketing efforts,
- Sales Process Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact and relationship building to negotiation and closing. Ensure a smooth transition and integration for acquired practices.
- Deep understanding of Value Proposition: Articulate and present our value proposition to potential partners and tailor the proposition to address the specific needs and concerns of each potential partner, where possible.
- Presentation and Communication: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective partners.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Lead Generation Specialists, the Integrations team, and other internal team members to ensure seamless execution of partnerships. Provide input and support during due diligence and integration processes.
- Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead generation, pipeline activity, and acquisition success rates. Provide regular updates to the Executive Leadership team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the veterinary industry.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of the veterinary industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations and close partnerships.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM software.
