Seeking a driven Account Manager in New York City. The Account Manager is responsible for directly interfacing with current and prospective customers within a defined territory (and more broadly when representing the Company outside the territory) to build long-term customer relationships based on mutual success for both the Company and its customers.

The Account Manager has the opportunity to work with people to take this company to the next level; to help the company grow. There are some big opportunities for you!

The Account Manager is responsible for three focus areas:

  • Developing and improving existing customer relationships to attain optimal utilization of Company products.
  • Creating new customer relationships through education to achieve the adoption of products.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of interactions with customers to efficiently manage assigned territory and obtain optimal interactions with clinician customers.

The key to this role is understanding the business environment within the territory, including customer landscape, competitive environment, active distribution channels, key corporate accounts, company key opinion leaders, and other economic factors.

The Account Manager is also responsible for fully understanding all Company product lines, developing key target opportunities for each product line, and successfully converting sales to animal healthcare professionals, as well as building and maintaining strong customer relationships to reach full product utilization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Some overnight travel beyond your territory (10-15%)
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant animal health experience in direct sales of diagnostic, laser, ultrasound, or other therapeutic capital equipment is preferred.
  • Proven track record of sales and customer service excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus, and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative sales environment.
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in utilizing a CRM management database.
  • Must be organized, have strong follow-up skills, and possess solid planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel to all call points within an assigned territory, approximately up to 75%. (This role has a car allowance plus mileage reimbursement.)
