Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences – Kansas – #7311

We are seeking to fill the Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences role for a vibrant, collaborative business and we look to find a candidate who can work in and with the positive culture of the company.

As the Director, some of the essential functions include:

• Leading the Scientific Team and managing day-to-day site operations
• Training and development of direct reports
• Support Business Development in acquiring new business
• Manage projects on behalf of customers
• Collaborate with Product Development to support new product identification and development, technology transfers, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
• Provide technical leadership to deliver all projects on timeline and budget with quality and in compliance with local health and safety regulations
• Utilize Quality by Design (QbD) to develop products from molecule to market
• Oversee the performances and productivity levels of team members
• Generate robust, high-quality source documents including technical presentations, development protocols and reports, proposals, and pharmaceutical development reports for filing product registrations in global markets

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Post-graduate qualification in pharmaceutical science
• 10+ years of experience, preferably in animal health and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC)
• Demonstrated people leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in product development CMC using QbD principles, technology transfers, and commercialization of pharmaceutical dosage forms
• Demonstrated expertise in planning, executing, and reporting Design of Experiments (DoE) studies
• Demonstrated client relationship management experience
• Results-oriented and driven
• Successful technical development background
• Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
