Our client is a veterinary practice located in Austin, Texas, open 7-days a week. They are expanding their practice and are looking for an Associate Veterinarian in full-time role. Most of the full-time veterinarians at the practice works four shifts per week, three weeks of the month, and one rotating five shift week. The practice provides high-quality, affordable veterinary healthcare while focusing on patient and client convenience. The atmosphere is supportive with a focus on work-life balance while maintaining an environment of professionalism.

We are looking for a veterinarian who is easy-going and welcomes change with a positive attitude. Our successful candidate is able to provide high quality veterinary medicine, perform routine elective surgical and dental procedures, and see patients for scheduled and walk-in appointments, ranging from general preventative medicine and vaccines to emergent and non-emergent illnesses and injuries.

Placement within the departments is contingent on surgical and dental abilities. Practitioners with more experience in surgery and dentistry are typically staffed in these departments the majority of their shifts, while those with more experience in preventative and internal medicine are typically primarily scheduled to see appointments, walk-ins, and drop-offs.

Qualifications include a DVM or equivalent degree with current licensure in good standing with the TBVME.
• No history of license suspension or disciplinary action.
• No history of controlled substance violations.
• Ability to perform routine surgical and dental procedures (OVH, ORCH, dental extractions)
• Advanced surgical skills desirable but not required (enterotomy, PU, enucleation, amputation, etc.)
