Lead Veterinarian – Smoky Mountains
The incumbent will be responsible for client education, communication, wellness medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and preferably some orthopedic surgery, and experienced in ultrasonography. A typical schedule will be 4 days, be off one day during the week and rotate through on the Saturday 8-12 shift with the other associate doctor. There are not any after hour requirements because the practice refers to a local emergency clinic. Practice is closed on all major holidays. This is an AAHA accredited hospital that was remodeled in the last 6-7 years. The staff is upbeat and well trained. The practice is in a small town with a small town feel. Everyone knows everyone and treats each other like family. The practice is a fun, laid back working environment that maintains a necessary level of professionalism. The practice believes in reinvesting in the business to maintain happy staff and they go to outings, dinner, have staff parties and offer competitive compensation. The practice believes in investing in the hospital in the way of new equipment to keep the practice up to date. Ownership percentage could be available to the right person after 5 years if there is interest. We are looking for a doctor that is already well trained who can hit the ground running and there is an opportunity for this doctor to be the lead doctor.
