Site Manager

Site Manager-This role entails managing the operation of a manufacturing plant which warehouses and distributes products. The Site Manager insures that all production activities are performed within USDA regulations, CGMP’s, Federal, State and Local Laws and regulations.  The incumbent will direct operations and functions of the plant except Quality Assurance/Quality Control departments. The site manager is responsible for assuring the quality and regulatory compliance of all product manufactured and shipped from the plant. The incumbent will assure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws, including FDA and/or USDA, OSHA, EPA and state laws and regulations. The incumbent will assure proper plant and equipment for meeting sales projections and expectations and state and federal requirements.  The Site Manager will assure the safety of all personnel, will handle budget development, will oversee the purchasing and manufacturing operations, oversees the logistics personnel and will establish production schedules. The Site Manager works with Quality in troubleshooting and maintains the security and safety and integrity of plant facility and personnel.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Business Management or Business Administration is preferred.  Other qualifications include 3-5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment, 2 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing and sterile filling operations. Procurement experience in pharmaceutical ingredients, carrier ingredients and packaging/labeling materials is preferred. Extensive experience with state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the manufacturing of vaccine products. The successful candidate must have experience with change management, continuous improvement, compliance, regulations, safety programs, budget preparation and finance. The incumbent will foster a professional organization and employee interaction and empowerment at the plant level.
