National Account Sales Manager-Retail-Mass Market

The National Account Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales. This role is responsible for sales growth with key strategic mass market companies (Target, Costco, Walmart, etc). The incumbent will develop and execute account plans that meet the business goals leading to growth and company profitability.  The incumbent will work with sales, marketing and research and development teams to support activities that lead to revenue growth, product development and the achievement of company coals. The National Account Sales Manager will work to broaden the current customer base, and increase sales, while strengthening customer relationships.

The incumbent will develop relationships and influence the top levels of large corporations. The incumbent will manage sales growth and identify opportunities with mass market customers and will develop and execute a strategic business plan.

Qualifications include multiple years of experience working with mass market retailers, accomplished sales professional with an excellent reputation in mass market retail channel, strong relationships with mass market retailers, proven track record and performance in sales of pet products into mass market retailers, understanding of inner workings of mass market customers (Walmart, Costco, Target), proven relationships with pet food companies, 4 year Degree, preferably in business or agriculture, basic understanding of general animal health products, experience with the private label process, and knowledge of CRM technology.
