National Account Sales Manager Farm, Fleet and Pet Retail

The National Account Sales manager will report to the Head of Sales.  This is a high level customer facing role, responsible for sales growth within the Ag Retail and Pet Retail segment (Chewy.com, Tractor Supply, Blains Farm & Fleet).  The incumbent will develop and execute account plans to meet company goals leading to growth and company profitability.  The incumbent will work within sales, marketing and research and development to support activities leading to revenue growth. The incumbent will increase product sales while strengthening customer relationships. The customer base includes Pet Retail and Ag customers.

The incumbent will develop relationships and influence the highest levels of small and large corporations. The incumbent will communicate with senior leadership and position the company as a key strategic partner. The incumbent will serve as the point of contact for all sales activities within the defined customer base and will make sales calls to grow the business with key customers.  The incumbent will use CRM technology to communicate sales projects effectively. The incumbent will grow sales in the Ag Retail segment focusing on new and expanding relationships. The incumbent will develop and execute a strategic business plan which optimizes revenue and profits for the company and will conduct quarterly and annual business reviews with key customers.  The incumbent will provide competitive intelligence. The incumbent will attend industry tradeshows and assist with new product development to expand product offerings and will provide monthly updates on sales trends and challenges. The incumbent will create a sales and expense budget and will work to manage expenses.

Qualifications include multiple years’ experience working with Ag Retail and Pet Retail with a proven track record and performance in the sales of pet products into both the Ag and Pet Retail Market, strong background in orchestrating successful dealer and distribution buying shows, knowledge of and has relationships with Ag Retail and the Pet Retail channel, 4-year degree, preferred in business or agriculture, basic understanding of general animal health products, self-directed and self-starter.
