For this role, the incumbent must have animal health experience in the DC/Mid-Atlantic market + capital equipment sales experience.

In this field sales role based in the Mid-Atlantic area, your success will come from building long-term relationships with customers and growing account revenue through comprehensive and complementary product offerings.

Your product portfolio will include innovative technologies that enhance the quality of care for pets and improve the workflow and profitability of the clinic.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Increase product utilization in your assigned geographic responsibility.
  • Achieve revenue and growth goals by acquiring new accounts and leveraging existing accounts.
  • Define, verify, and translate customer needs into diagnostic, point-of-care, and wellness management solutions.
  • Develop and grow partnerships with veterinary practice staff.
  • Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives.
  • Attend trade shows and other educational events.

Ideally, you will possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.

  • 3+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally in animal health, in direct sales of animal medical devices/capital equipment.
  • Strong closing skills, with a proven track record of capital sales and customer service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative sales environment.
  • Ability to travel to call points within an assigned territory.
  • Strong computer skills, with experience utilizing a CRM management database; salesforce.com preferred.
