The Director will manage the Technical Services group and will serve as a resource for the organization on existing products, as well as products transitioning from development phase. The Director will develop and maintain expertise in the clinical areas and will implement and develop within the department, relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the clinical area. The Director will ensure all appropriate research, literature and materials provided to speakers and KOLs at upcoming major veterinary conferences/meetings, facilitate training and technical information updates to marketing and sales personnel and communicate and travel with distributor reps as needed. The Director will establish a program in conjunction with regional sales managers to schedule meetings with KOLs at veterinary schools and host symposiums and lectures. The Director will provide timely reports to management that are informative and contain useful information regarding changes in the industry and competition. The incumbent will work with regional sales managers and will contribute with the development of support material for new and/or existing products. The incumbent will participate in project teams for products in development.
Qualifications include a DVM or VMD and three years of private practice experience in small animal medicine and three years of veterinary manufacture/animal health industry experience are required. The successful candidate will possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be literate in use of Windows Office suite of software. There is a 25% travel requirement.
