The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that our client’s hospitals provide high quality veterinary care and an outstanding client experience. This individual will recruit, hire and manage medical directors and provide supervision for associate veterinarians. The incumbent will develop and implement strategies to enhance knowledge and skills of associate veterinarians and medical directors.
Other responsibilities include reviewing performance and establishing development plans for medical directors and overseeing performance reviews and development plans for associate veterinarians. The Regional Medical Director will provide medical expertise to hospitals and will help develop and manage a regional budget. In addition the incumbent will build relationships with veterinary schools and will participate in veterinary associations.
Minimum qualifications include a DVM/VMD with a minimum of three years of management experience and eight years of clinical experience. Multi site management experience is highly desirable.
