Director of Animal Studies

Director Animal Studies-The Director will lead and manage the feeding, growth and disease challenge trials done with partners and CRO’s. The Director will design effective feeding trials for single cell protein in a variety of fish and animal species and will design effective disease challenge trials for single cell protein in a variety of fish and animal species. The Director of Animal Studies will monitor trials with CRO’s and feed companies and intervene when necessary. The Director of Animal Studies will be the point of contact for 3^rd party research organizations worldwide and will support sales and marketing by interpreting trial results and helping articulate value proposition. The incumbent will interface with customer technical departments on an as-needed basis.  The incumbent will work with regulatory to ensure all newly generated data is captured. Qualifications include a PhD in Life Sciences, aquaculture or veterinary medicine, 2-5 years post-doc or private sector experience, willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time and experience across multiple species is a plus. Experience with crustaceans is a plus. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented and able to communicate results and summarize data.
