The Manager of Veterinary Services will provide leadership and day to day operational responsibility for our client’s animal resources and facilities. The incumbent will set goals, hire and provide career development for personnel. Will prioritize, schedule, be involved in resource planning, regulatory compliance, budgeting and expense monitoring, management of all aspects of capital/infrastructure investment and communication of research facility activities. Will provide state of the art veterinary medical, surgical and management knowledge and skills to all animals under care of the department. Will be well versed in all applicable regulatory compliance processes for both research and quality control areas of the department and ensure compliance of all department facilities and personnel.
Qualifications include a DVM from AVMA accredited college of veterinary medicine. MS, PhD and applicable specialty board certification highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in a clinical research environment preferred. Eligible to be licensed, accredited and hold a DEA registration. Minimum of 3 years demonstrated excellence in companion animal clinical practice. Experience conducting animal health clinical studies in either USDA or FDA regulated environment.
