The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring high quality medicine and an outstanding client experience in each of the MULTIPLE hospitals that they supervise. They will achieve this goal through recruiting, hiring, coaching and supervising veterinarians and by working with field directors to ensure the presence of outstanding paraprofessional teams.

In addition, Medical Directors partner with field staff to ensure outstanding business practices and a high degree of professionalism in each hospital. Medical Directors are expected to teach medical and surgical skills and to evaluate performance through frequent visits to hospitals. 

Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree is required. A minimum of two years leadership experience and three years clinical experience is required, with proven ability to perform all basic surgeries, including use of all standard medical instruments and equipment. At the time of hire, an active veterinary license in good standing and related controlled substance licenses are required for the state in which the majority of the MD’s hospitals exist. For any additional states where the MD has hospitals at the time of hire, or if a new territory is acquired, necessary licenses must be obtained at the next available licensing date. All licenses must remain active for each state in which the Medical Director has hospital responsibility.

Technical Services Veterinarian – Florida

This position is responsible for the technical support of our client’s sales team in the Florida territory.  The incumbent will contribute to the success of our client’s business by leveraging scientific knowledge and creating collaborative relationships with internal and external customers. The incumbent will align with and execute sales, marketing and R&D strategies for the companion/equine business unit and will provide technical support to the regional sales team through in client visits, seminars and by leading group discussions and working at state and national meetings. Will enhance awareness at veterinary schools through presentations to students, interaction with faculty, residents and interns and managing relationships with key college administrators. Will support Pharmacovigilance efforts through timely response to inquiries, with attention to supporting Veterinarian/Client/Patient relationships. Will provide technical expertise to the sales department via development and delivery of training materials and support of company activities at major veterinary conferences.

Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a minimum of three to five years of clinical practice experience or its equivalent. The incumbent must have a sound understanding of and accomplished skill as a companion animal/equine veterinarian. This position requires strong organizational skills as well as an engaging personality, self motivation and superb communication skills. This position also requires excellent relationship building skills and the ability to problem solve. Travel is required.
